Cannes 2016: Sonam Kapoor Looks Twice As Nice on Her First Day

Actress Sonam Kapoor, who has never failed to stun with her sartorial choices, began her first day at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival on an uber-stylish note. For her first look on May 15, the actress opted for an Anamika Khanna creation. Soon, Sonam changed into an electric bluesari by Rimzim Dadu for interactions with the press.

On Sunday morning, Sonam paired a long, printed jacket with a full length dress, also of the same print. She accessorised with metallic earrings and strappy heels. No complaints, Sonam. You surely did well:

  In an interview to IANS, Sonam said: "As opposed to what people would assume, I don't really think about it at all. There is no pressure on me. I don't take myself too seriously. I've always felt great in everything I've worn and it has always appealed to my sensibilities. The best way to bring your A-game on the red carpet is to be yourself."

Sonam arrived in the French Riviera on Saturday and her travel wardrobe included a partially-printed, ivory ensemble by Anamika Khanna.
 

  She will walk the Croisette on May 15 and May 16, and will also attend the prestigious amfAR gala instead of Cannes veteran Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on May 19. This year, Sonam will represent cosmetic giant L'Oreal for the sixth time at the Cannes Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya, who has made red carpet appearances on May 13 and May 14, stopped traffic in Ali Younes and Elie Saab couture respectively.

Sonam was last seen in Neerja and she has not signed any new movie yet.
